The way I’ve been looking at getting zero food waste is buying ingredients for specific recipes (meal plan), making the plan instead of spontaneously eating out, and eating leftovers. We’re minimal with what we buy weekly so we usually don’t have many ingredients, usually vegetables, go bad before using them. Having a composter will also help! As for language learning, I took six years of Spanish in high school, so going through Duolingo is a review of everything I learned years ago, but I’m currently not confident in actually being able to speak fluently after finishing the program. It seems like a lot of memorization. I have zero Italian knowledge, so it’s been interesting starting that! So far I can say specific sentences – The man/woman/child eats the apple – haha! Similar to the Spanish, I’m not sure about fluency but I think I’ll be able to get by in Italy. At least the Duolingo program is easy and engaging to start learning! Thank you for reading!

My pleasure! Every time I come back to that quote it makes me inspired. Let’s get together and try making Danish pastries!

A. Year. 🙂 Thanks for including that Jen Sincero quote (and for inspiring me to read her books!!). I need to write that down and re-read it throughout the month.

I want to learn how to make Danish pastries!!!

Same here; I don’t use the daily scheduling (Google Calendar instead) but I’ll use the space as my gratitude journal. I also like the monthly calendar pages and the empty pages in the back for notes and keeping track of goals!

Yay! I bet you’ll love the gratitude journal, especially with Hazel here! Practice is the only way I’ll get better at photography and it will be fun to work at it! Happy 2018!

I have a Passion Planner too and I really like it. I’m hoping to use it more as a journal this year and I’m hoping to jot down a few notes on each day so I can have it to look back on at the end of the year.

I just bought a gratitude journal and hope to read 12 books this year! I like your goal of monthly practice with your camera. I would like to do that too!

I need to talk to you about this more! I don’t have many plants yet (hoping our future herb garden will expand to vegetables), so it’ll mostly be for the lawn right now, which I haven’t cared much about. I’ve been wanting a composter though.

We love ours! We hardly ever throw away much food waste now that we have one and instead will use the compost for our plants and lawn.
