I’m so glad I learned about kolaches one of the times I visited family in Texas. They’re so good! We have a place that opened here in Virginia, but it’s not the same at all. It’s a nice effort, but I miss the ones from Texas.

In reply to Kate / @heyescapist. I've always heard kolaches for both savory and sweet but I'm sure if you talked to Czechs, they might correct you. We're lucky to have a wide and growing selection of restaurants in Austin!

In reply to Kaylin. My pleasure! I can't wait to try the recipe for myself. Yes to Mongers and Be More Pacific! Both great restaurants.

Whoa, I didn’t know that savory kolaches were a thing. That sounds amazing! Sounds like you’re killin’ the local food game.

Thank you for including my cookie recipe, sweet friend! I guess I need to go try Mongers for seafood, eh? I also want to try Be More Pacific at their brick and mortar.
