When it comes to chocolate, the magic starts from the cacao pod and near the end, blossoms in the hands of a chocolatier. Chocolate makers not only create an artisan product that tastes decadent, but also pretty designs enhance the experience. What started as a ceremonial drinking tradition has transformed into various sweet and savory dishes and delicacies worldwide.

Mochi donuts in Austin! With the opening of multiple shops, these sweet treats have become more available in the last five years. This blog post shares three spots to find mochi donuts and what flavors you should try.

Originating in Hawaii in the 1990s, mochi donuts combine the American-style donut with Japanese mochi, made with glutinous rice flour. These donuts have a chewy and stretchy texture instead of a fluffy texture of typical donuts.

Here are 3 places to visit for mochi donuts:

Dduk Dduk

The newest spot on this list, this food truck on Airport Blvd is a good place to stop. They have 6 regular flavors and sometimes feature special flavors. My favorite flavor was the raspberry matcha. I’m curious about their savory ddubboki too.

Address: 6401 Airport Blvd, Austin, TX 78752

Website: https://www.dduk-dduk.com/

Mochinut

This chain was founded in California in 2020 and has grown to over 180 locations in the U.S., South Korea, and Thailand. We have two locations in Austin. Some of their typical flavors are churro, ube, strawberry, and raspberry. Not just donuts, they also serve Korean corn dogs, boba drinks, and other treats.

Address:

  • 1700 W Parmer Ln, #100, Austin, TX 78727 (inside Hana World Market)
  • 6406 N Interstate Hwy 35 #2475, Austin, TX 78752

Website: https://www.instagram.com/mochinut_atx

OMG Squee

This gluten-free bakery started with booths at farmers’ markets and pop-ups before opening a brick-and-mortar in 2020. They offered macarons and expanded with mochi donuts, soft serve taiyaki, and more sweet treats. Their donuts are very cute, and my favorite flavor is the ube.

Address: 4607 Bolm Rd, Suite A, Austin, TX 78702

Here are the 30 best cold treats in Austin, Texas! This list was updated in July 2025.

It’s HOT in Austin, Texas. But ice cream, gelato, soft serve, shaved ice, acai bowls, and smoothies are here to save the day! Yes, we don’t discriminate against our cold treats here. If it’s served cold, and it can help cool us down in the Texas summer, we want it!

Thankfully, we have plenty of cold snacks, drinks, and desserts to choose from in Austin. While some of these places may have locations in other cities, the majority of these spots are local, born and raised in Austin, Texas. This list could keep you cool all summer long.

Enjoy eating through this list of 30 cold treats in Austin!

While this list focuses on Austin-owned small businesses, I wanted to share a business that might not have originated in Austin but is a fan favorite.

Jeni’s Ice Creams is a popular chain from Columbus, Ohio that has locations around the U.S. They have three locations in Austin – South Congress, Domain, and Triangle. You can get ice cream flights here! Some of my favorite flavors are brown butter almond brittle, wildberry lavender, salty caramel, and brambleberry.

Andy’s Frozen Custard is originally from Missouri, but there are four franchise locations in the North Austin area. If you love concretes – frozen custard with mix-ins – you need to try this spot!

Use this handy map to find the closest place to get a cold treat.

Please note: some companies have multiple locations, so if they have more than three locations, I’ve only marked one of the locations.

Are you looking for the best desserts in Austin?

I’m always doing dessert research in Austin because there are so many delicious options. To create this list of best desserts, I considered unique desserts that you can only find here, whether it’s an Austin company or a dessert that isn’t common or is especially noteworthy. This list doesn’t include desserts at restaurants but does include desserts at bakeries.

If you’re visiting Austin and/or a dessert lover like me, here are 11 companies with stand-out desserts!

Mochi Donuts from Bom Bakeshop

As this company proudly shares, they exist to spread joy! Their mochi donuts come in creative flavors and there are typically themed flavors. A sampling of their creative flavors includes earl grey with lavender, matcha strawberry, and lemon brulee. They have pop-ups and regularly sell the donuts each weekend at Dia’s Market in Central Austin.

Website: https://www.bombakeshop.com/

Churro Sundae at Churro Co.

The churros at Churro Co. are excellent and of course, adding ice cream to make it a sundae would make them even better. But back to the churros. They’re not simply fried dough. Nope, they can be tossed in a variety of sugar mixes, like cocoa sugar or graham cracker sugar, and then topped with things like apple pie, chocolate cheesecake, chocolate or caramel drizzle, and more. This food truck is a decadent treat! Extra sweetness – they also serve funnel cake at their bakery location.

Website: http://churrocoaustin.com/

Locations:

  • Trailer: 1906 South First, Austin, TX 78704
  • Bakery: 11101 Burnet Rd # A140, Austin, TX 78758

Asian-Inspired Cookies by Cookie Wookie Kitchen

Black sesame cookies n’ cream, ube coconut, pandan with toasted rice, red bean mochi, matcha pistachio – these are some of the delicious and creative flavors Cookie Wookie Kitchen offer. I love that Erica takes inspiration from Asian flavors and infuses them into aged cookie dough. To try these cookies, you’ll need to order them for delivery or pick them up at the shop Parker and Scott or in Cedar Park. Follow them on Instagram to learn about their next pop-ups.

Website: https://www.cookiewookiekitchen.com/

Chocolate at Edis Chocolates & Bakery

If you love chocolate, you have to visit Edis Chocolates & Bakery! This shop in Northwest Austin is filled with chocolate desserts like truffles, cake, brownies, and more. Be sure to get a sampling to try. I’ve loved everything I’ve tried, especially the hazelnut amaretto torte and the chocolate cupcake.

Website: https://www.edischocolates.com/

Location: 3808 Spicewood Springs Road, Austin, TX 78759

Loaded Donuts at Gourdough’s

Looking at this list, Gourdough’s is the original best Austin dessert that everyone talked about. It’s for a good reason. Their tagline is Big Fat Donuts and these loaded donuts are exactly that. Miss Shortcake (cream cheese and strawberries) and Mother Clucker (fried chicken and honey butter) are two of my favorites.

Website: https://gourdoughs.com/

Location: Trailer – 1503 S. 1st Street, Austin TX 78704

Ice Cream from Merry Monarch Creamery

This food truck has some delicious, creative ice cream flavors! It’s made from high-quality ingredients in interesting mixes. Here are some examples: matcha caramel, oreo miso, and passion fruit pie.

Website: https://www.merrymonarchcreamery.com/

Locations:

  • Food truck at 5000 Burnet Road, Austin, TX 78756
  • Scoops sold at Bottega: 2100 Robert Browning St, Austin, TX 78723

Huge Chocolate Chip Cookies from Teddy V Patisserie

If we’re talking huge chocolate chip cookies, you’ll probably think of the famed ones from Levain Bakery in New York City. Today you can have a Levain cookie delivered to your doorstep or you can buy frozen ones from the grocery store. But if you’re in Austin, try these two famous cookies that might wow you even more!

The Teddy V Cookies have mastered the art of crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. They’re made with seemingly normal ingredients and can include walnuts. You can get these heavyweight cookies delivered nationwide, or pick them up at the Texas Farmers Market (on the weekends) or at a few coffee shops in Austin.

Website: https://www.teddyvcookies.com/

Stuffed Cookies at ThoroughBread

You read that correctly – STUFFED cookies have earned the place on this list of best desserts in Austin! ThoroughBread has some delicious stuffed cookies. They remind me of geodes – they might look plain on the outside but inside is gooey magic! Banana Nutella and peanut butter and jelly are two of my favorite flavors! They also have chocolate chip and chocolate chip pecan.

Website: https://www.thoroughbreadatx.com/

Location: 1709 Bluebonnet Lane, Austin, TX 78704

Texas Ice Cream Flavors at Lick Honest Ice Creams

Seasonal and artisanal flavors are found at Lick! It starts with quality ingredients – milk and cream from a Central Texas dairy. Then mix in locally made ingredients like chocolate, olive oil, goat cheese, and honey. Yes, they also have dairy-free flavors.

You can’t go wrong with their everyday menu which includes fresh mint and chocolate, salted caramel, and Texas sheet cake. But you can also get adventurous with their seasonal flavors, inspired by Texas produce and ingredients. Some examples include grapefruit with champagne marshmallows, tequila lime pie, and yaupon matcha chip.

Website: https://www.ilikelick.com/

Three locations in Austin:

  • 1100 S Lamar Boulevard, Austin, TX 78704
  • 6555 Burnet Road #200, Austin, TX 78757
  • 1905 Aldrich Street #150, Austin, TX 78723

Mini Pies at Tiny Pies

Pie is delicious – buttery and crispy crust with a rich filling – but it’s hard to find small portions and hard to eat without it being messy. Enter Tiny Pies. These mini pies are muffin-sized and packed with all the good stuff – lots of local ingredients.

Apple, cherry, pecan, and chocolate cream are some of their classic flavors. The Texas Two-Step is a unique classic – pecan pie with a brownie! Strawberry is one of my favorite seasonal flavors. They also have savory pies – pot pie and quiche types.

Website: https://tinypies.com/

Location: 5035 Burnet Road, Ste. 100, Austin, TX 78756

Cookie Choux at Whipped Bakery

Ok, this one is slightly outside of Austin City Limits – in Leander – but I hope you’ll accept the exception for their amazing cookie choux! These puffs are filled with fluffy whipped cream and the outside features a crispy topping. It’s worth the drive to me!

Website: https://www.whippedatx.com/

Location: 15609 Ronald Reagan Blvd, B220, Leander, TX 78641

If you’re looking for dessert at The Domain and in the area, you have options! This post shares a variety of ice cream, baked goods, and more to satisfy your sweet tooth.

The Domain is a bustling entertainment area in North Austin with an abundance of restaurants. If you’re shopping and need a sweet treat or if you’re in the area and want to stop for dessert, there are plenty of spots to choose from. Here’s a list of my top 11 recommendations.

Bakery Lorraine

This counter-service restaurant open for breakfast and lunch is known for its baked goods. Walk in and you’ll see a case full of pastries, cookies, cakes, tarts, and more. Expect a wait around weekend brunch time. You can’t go wrong with a baked good like a cinnamon roll or kouign amann. There are also macarons of various flavors, their signature fruit tart, and several cake flavors.

11600 Rock Rose Ave #100, Austin, TX 78758

Beard Papa’s

Originating as a small bakery in Osaka, Japan in 1999, Beard Papa’s has since grown to over 475 locations around the world. This dessert shop is known for its cream puff. When you visit, you’ll be able to choose your shell flavor and your filling flavor. I like their honey butter shell with vanilla filling.

3220 Feathergrass Ct Suite 138, Austin, TX 78758

Churro Co Bakery

This local spot started as a food truck and now you can find churros and funnel cake at this brick-and-mortar bakery. You’ll know you’re there when you walk in and everything is pink! Choose from a number of toppings like chocolate sauce and whipped cream for your churros or there are a few funnel cake flavors like the Xtraberry Funnel Cake with vanilla ice cream and fresh strawberries.

11101 Burnet Rd # A140, Austin, TX 78758

Frost Gelato

Fresh-made gelato with imported ingredients from Italy will make it feel like you’ve been transported to Italy! Frost Gelato features over 70 flavors. This location is the only one in Texas and the chain has locations in three states.

11700 Rock Rose Ave, Suite 176, Austin, TX 78758

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream

A favorite and popular national ice cream brand, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream has several shops in Austin and their pints can be found in grocery stores. When you visit the Domain location, you’ll be able to pick your favorite signature scoop, like my favorite Brown Butter Almond Brittle, or try a seasonal flavor. Pints are also available for purchase.

11601 Rock Rose Ave #110, Austin, TX 78758

Lumi’s Crepes

This food truck serves luxurious crepes with 100% Belgian chocolate – the good stuff! They also offer waffles if you prefer a crispy texture. Look how mesmerizing and decadent the chocolate design is!

11410 Century Oaks Terrace, Suite 210, Austin, TX 78758

Pressed Juicery

If you’re looking for a cold, refreshing treat, stop into Pressed Juicery. While their bottled juices are ready to grab, they also offer non-dairy soft serve and smoothies. The tropical soft serve is made with pineapple and banana purees, coconut milk, and pea protein. You can choose toppings like fresh fruit, granola, or chocolate chips.

11401 Century Oaks Terrace #103, Austin, TX 78758

Shake Shack

If you’re looking for milkshakes, Shake Shack is a place you should try. This counter-service fast food chain is known for its juicy burgers, crinkle-cut fries, and shakes. They feature a special shake flavor every month, but they always have the classics – vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and cookies and cream. If you’re not feeling a shake, try their frozen custard.

11228 Domain Dr, Austin, TX 78759

Sprinkles

This is the spot for cupcake lovers! They typically have 24+ flavors available, including seasonal specials. Some of their best-selling flavors are sprinkle, red velvet, and strawberry. Another perk about this location – their cupcake ATM is available 24/7!

3120 Palm Way, Suite Y3.100, Austin, TX 78758

Sweet Paris Crêperie & Cafe

If you’re looking to dine in and enjoy dessert, take a seat at Sweet Paris. Here they have entrees like salads, sandwiches, and savory crepes as well as sweet crepes, waffles, and milkshakes.

11410 Century Oaks Terrace #112, Austin, TX 78758

Whole Foods

Not sure what kind of dessert you want? Stop by Whole Foods for a wide selection. Their signature Berry Chantilly Cake is one of my favorites, but you can pick out several items for a dessert spread.

11920 Domain Dr, Austin, TX 78758

I love dessert! Many options have popped up in the last 10 years, and I’m excited to be able to find the Chinese desserts of my childhood and discover new desserts.

Asian is a very broad term, so to clarify, I’ve included desserts from the Philippines, Korea, Japan, China, Vietnam, and Thailand. As with a lot of food, you’ll see some similarities and variations between cultures. Taro, red bean, pandan, and matcha are some of the flavors you’ll find in these Asian desserts.

This is a shortlist of the many, many Asian desserts out there. My goal was to share some desserts you can easily try in Austin, and if you have any recommendations of a dessert and/or restaurant to get it at, let me know!

Here are 17 Asian desserts to try and where to get them in Austin!

Bingsu

Bingsu is a Korean shaved ice dessert with toppings. The sky’s the limit for flavor combinations, and places usually have set bingsu options that work best together. I typically enjoy mango shaved ice with fresh fruit, but I like the Brown Sugar Mochi Bingsu at Snowy Village on West Parmer Lane and the Birthday Cake Bingsu at Bar Peached.

Where to Get it in Austin: Snowy Village, Bar Peached

Boba Tea

Also known as bubble tea, boba tea originated in Taiwan and is named after the tapioca balls at the bottom of the cup. The beverage is usually black tea and milk, though you can find plenty of tea options now. Milk Tea Boba, Brown Sugar Boba, and Taro Tea are some of the most popular (and some of my favorite) flavors. If you don’t like tea, you can get a fruit slush, and if you’re not sure about tapioca balls, a variety of jellies are available. Some places offer different sugar and ice amounts to customize your drink.

Where to Get it in Austin: See this blog post

Bubble Waffle Cone

This dessert from Hong Kong is an egg waffle by itself or wrapped like a cone and filled with ice cream or whipped cream and toppings. Austin establishments usually have the waffle by itself. What makes or breaks this dessert is the waffle. Is it crispy on the outside? Is it soft and chewy on the inside?

Where to Get it in Austin: Bambu, Happy Lemon

Cake

You can find cake in many Asian cultures. The Swiss roll / cake roll / jelly roll is a popular bakery item. This type of cake likely came to Asia from Europe and I like the variations with matcha and pandan flavors. I also grew up celebrating birthdays with Chinese sponge cake with fresh fruit. This cake is light and airy with whipped cream and strawberries, peaches, and kiwi in between the layers and on top.

Where to Get it in Austin: Tous Les Jour, Texas Bakery

Chè

Chè (pronounced chay) is a Vietnamese dessert with jelly, tapioca, fruit, and beans accompaniments. It’s topped with ice and finished with a coconut cream sauce. This dessert is similar to the Indonesian cendol and Filipino halo-halo.

Where to Get it in Austin: Bambu

Cheesecake

When it comes to cheesecake, you probably think of Japanese cheesecake. The Japanese version is crustless and is very fluffy. The secret to its lightness is less cream cheese and more egg whites. OMG Squee has them occasionally, or you can find them at the Austin location of Uncle Tetsu, a national chain.

Where to Get it in Austin: OMG Squee, Uncle Tetsu

Cookie

When it comes to cookies, add Asian flavors! Cookie Wookie Kitchen has delicious creations made with aged cookie dough. Ube coconut, black sesame cookies and cream, pandan with toasted rice, and red bean mochi are some of my favorite flavors!

Where to Get it in Austin: Cookie Wookie Kitchen

Egg Tart

The best way to end dim sum is with egg tarts, my ubiquitous dessert growing up. It’s a crispy and flakey outer shell filled with a smooth egg custard that’s slightly sweet. I love the Hong Kong version but you can also find the Portuguese version (Macau is a city near Hong Kong and used to be a Portuguese colony), which is sweeter and has a flame-kissed top.

Where to Get it in Austin: 85 Degrees, Chinatown, Lin Asian Bar

Halo-halo

Halo-halo has all the good stuff in it. This Filipino dessert is similar to the Vietnamese chè in that it’s a crushed ice dessert. Halo-halo has jellies, sweet beans, fruit, corn, shredded coconut, yams, and a scoop of ice cream on top.

Where to Get it in Austin: Little Mama’s, Filipino Asian Mart

Ice Cream

Our favorite Asian flavors are back in ice cream form. Matcha, black sesame, taro, Thai tea, and pandan are only some of the flavors available. For something more adventurous, visit DipDipDip Ice Cream for flavors like yuzu mascarpone, orange and hōjicha (Japanese green tea), or cookies ‘n matcha.

Where to Get it in Austin: DipDipDip Ice Cream, Thai Fresh/Gati Ice Cream, Sugar Pine

Mango Sticky Rice

One of my favorite Thai desserts is this one – mango sticky rice! The sticky rice is mixed with coconut milk and sugar and topped with sliced mango. I’d be surprised if you don’t find this dessert on Thai restaurant menus.

Where to Get it in Austin: Thai Fresh, Dee Dee

Mochi Donuts

Mmm this dessert has popped up in Austin in abundance! Mochi is a Japanese dessert made with glutinous rice. Now put this stretchy and chewy texture into a donut – yum! Bom Bakeshop rotates some delicious flavors with icing made with real fruit.

Where to Get it in Austin: Bom Bakeshop, Mochinut, OMG Squee

Sesame Ball

Some might not classify this Chinese pastry as a dessert, but it was always a semi-sweet end to dim sum for me. The glutinous rice ball is typically filled with red bean paste but you may also see lotus paste. Don’t miss this when you go eat dim sum!

Where to Get it in Austin: Lin Asian Bar, Fresh Tofu

Shaved Ice

Taiwanese shaved ice or snow ice is unlike shaved ice or snow cones you already know. This shaved ice is created through a machine that creates thin shavings. It melts in your mouth! After choosing your shaved ice flavor – mango and strawberry are two of my favorites – you can choose your toppings. The toppings include boba, jelly, sliced fruit, mochi, and more.

Where to Get it in Austin: SnoMo

Steamed Pandan Layer Cake / Khanom Chan / Bánh Da Lợn

I’m in love with this jelly-like dessert! It’s stretchy and slightly chewy and typically layered by color and flavors of pandan and coconut. In Thai culture, it’s khanom chan and in Vietnamese culture, bánh da lợn is similar but typically includes mung bean.

Where to Get it in Austin: Hhomdee, Texas Bakery, Hana World Market

Taiyaki

This Japanese pastry is recognizable because it’s shaped like a fish. The crispy croissant dough, pressed in something like a waffle iron, is traditionally filled with red bean but can also be filled with Nutella, custard, and mochi.

Where to Get it in Austin: Snowy Village

Tofu Pudding with Ginger Syrup (Dofu Hua)

Tofu Pudding or Sweet Silken Tofu is a dessert I grew up loving! The tofu pudding texture is similar to flan and tastes like sweet tofu. The ginger syrup you pour on top makes the tofu sweeter and it’s where a lot of the flavor comes from.

Where to Get it in Austin: Fresh Tofu, NG Cafe

There are many dessert pop-ups in Austin, and they’re so good!

When I first published this post in 2020, many bakers had started or were growing their businesses because of the extra time at home. Dessert is comfort food, and most of these companies are new endeavors so I easily justified these purchases as supporting a new, local company. 😉 But really, I don’t need to justify my dessert-eating. It’s a life-long “research” project.

I found most of these companies on Instagram. Many are order-only and have weekly pick-up times. Some have weekly “drop” times, so look them up to know when and what to order. They may sell out quickly!

Here are 9 dessert pop-ups to put on your list.

Andy K’s Donuts

Made from scratch and oh so beautiful! Every month has a new set of flavors, so you’ll want to try them all! I ordered in October, so my box came with Devil’s Food Cake, Cinnamon Sugar, Maple Frosted, Beet’N and Bloody Cake, Black Cherry and Dark Chocolate, and Caramel Apple Fritter.

Bakecation by Glo

I found Gloria because people were raving about her alfajores, a dulce de leche sandwich cookie found in many South American countries. These light cookies melt in your mouth!

Bom Bakeshop

Mochi donuts are in Austin! Teresa and Anthony are two foodies who are making some delicious desserts! I love the chewy texture of the donuts. Every month features a different set of coordinating flavors. They shared their whole story on Eater Austin, and it’s a good read.

Cookie Wookie Kitchen

Erica of Cookie Wookie Kitchen makes aged cookie dough cookies and other specialty treats like milk tea madeleines and Thai tea cake. I love that she offers unique flavors with ingredients you usually see in an Asian kitchen. My top three cookie flavors are pandan coconut, black sesame cookies and cream, and red bean mochi.

Gourmet Cupcakes by Megan

You know I love cupcakes. And Megan is baking some fantastic ones. I tried the signature banana pudding flavor – vanilla cake, vanilla pudding filling, and cookie buttercream icing topped with vanilla wafers and a banana chip. There is a whole menu of filled cupcakes that you’ll love like bourbon pecan pie, tiramisu, chocolate mint, and more.

HhomDee

Chances are, you don’t know Thai desserts. You’ve probably had sticky rice and mango, but Hhomdee will share new dishes and flavors with you. My favorite things I’ve tried are the pandan chiffon cupcakes and the coconut pandan layer cake.

The Interrupted Baker

The fun of Stacy’s menus is you never know what will be on it! I tried a delicious pineapple bun and cookies ‘n cream cookie, but you’ll also find items like macarons, cookie choux, galettes, and tres leches cake.

Kat’s Hand-Baked

Kat makes cakes and includes flavors like pandan, matcha, passionfruit, and mango. One of my favorite things is her mille crepe cakes!

Local Bread Baker

Olga bakes incredible burnt basque cheesecake that is magical. There are a few different flavors including vanilla, chocolate, and dulce de leche.

So many great treats, right?! There is no shortage of options in Austin and I hope you continue to indulge a little bit!

Have you had any special desserts this year?

If you’ve been here for a while, you know I love dessert. Love like driving an hour to try a bakery’s cake. And eating a 21-course dessert dinner love. Recently, I’m also the one griping about how restaurants put desserts on their menu like an afterthought and memorable dessert is hard to find in Austin. (Don’t get me started…)

Enter the Paper Route Bakery cake flight.

This cake has me quite satisfied. I was wowed by a slice about a year ago and long talked about trying the flight.

You all can keep trying to impress me (please do), and I’ll stop by Paper Route Bakery for a quick slice to remind me that the best things are easy to find.

Paper Route Bakery

This bakery has evolved since its inception seven years ago. When Chef Aaron Seriff-Culick moved the operation to its current location in 2018, the bakery focused on a variety of baked goods, including scones, cookies, and pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread).

And then in 2021, the menu was simplified and intensified. Cakes all the time, and not just any regular cakes. Magic cakes. Cakes are made in an extensive process and make you slow down and consider them. It’s art, it’s quality, and it’s the best cake I’ve ever had. (And I eat a lot of cake.)

What makes the cake so good?

  • Natural ingredients – Real ingredients, real flavors, real good.
  • Chantilly cream – I love icing that is light and fluffy and this checks the box.
  • Flavor depth – Read the description of each flavor and you’ll see the wild creativity and careful thought behind what makes these flavors unique.
  • Flavor cohesion – Not only are the flavor combinations unique but it works with flying colors. You might see an ingredient you wouldn’t expect in the ingredient list, but how the flavor blends perfectly will surprise you.
  • Perfect texture – Something you don’t typically call out when you taste something is texture, but the consistency and perfection here are noteworthy. It’s a moist cake that bounces and doesn’t dry out, with thick layers of ganache in the middle and that fluffy cream.

And all of this together brings the wow factor. Cake of my dreams is a high compliment, but let’s be honest. Like most of the best things in life, it’s better than I could have dreamed. I appreciate how delightful and creative Paper Route Bakery is, and I hope you try it soon!

Which Cake Flavor to Order?

Paper Route Bakery offers eight signature flavors and two specialty flavors each week. Every cake flavor is divine, so it really depends on flavor preference to pick a favorite. I’ve listed the flavors below by my most to least favorite. I’m a strawberry cake lover, through and through!

Strawberry Book Club

strawberry chiffon cake with black pepper crust, strawberry ganache infused with basil and pink champagne, strawberry Chantilly cream

Vanilla Au Revoir

Madagascar vanilla bean chiffon cake with whiskey barrel smoked sugar crust, vanilla bean ganache infused with cashew and taro, vanilla Chantilly cream

Coffee Fox

coffee chiffon cake with cinnamon hazelnut crust, coffee ganache infused with toasted hazelnut, mocha Chantilly cream

Chocolate Fainting Couch

chocolate feather fudge cake with black onyx cocoa crust, cacao ganache infused with toasted brazil nut and chile pepper, chocolate Chantilly cream

Raspberry Carlisle

raspberry chiffon cake with almond crust, raspberry ganache infused with cardamom and rosemary, raspberry Chantilly cream

Banana Pantsuit

banana spice cake with white chocolate macadamia nut crust, banana ganache infused with allspice and Dominican rum, butterscotch Chantilly cream

Lemon Kiss

lemon chiffon cake with honey poppyseed crust, lemon ganache infused with lavender & Limoncello, Meyer lemon Chantilly cream

Pistachio Oasis

rose petal chiffon cake with pistachio crust, pistachio ganache infused with pomegranate and cardamom, matcha Chantilly cream

You can buy them by the slice ($10) or by the whole cake. Whole cake sizing and pricing are 6” for 10-12 people ($55), 8” for 12-16 people ($110), and 10” for 16-20 people ($165). You can add a dark chocolate pour-over on any cake for $10.
