My friend Ellen is a master of costumes. She works for a local theater, lived in Tokyo and enjoyed their love of costumes for some time, and has accumulated quite a collection. She decided to throw a themed party inspired by one of her favorite costumes: Alice in Wonderland. The result was a theme-decorated apartment, creative mix of costumed guests, and a lovely spread of food and drinks.
The place was decorated with cards on string and on the wall.
Tea cups with notes were available for drinks.
Snacks included brownies, cupcakes, fruit, cookies, chicken sandwiches, deviled eggs, and my homemade strawberry pop tarts and vanilla macarons.
The best part was the costumes!
