Wellness and Adventure at Reset Retreat
Want to get real relaxation and re-focus on what’s most important to you? Reset Retreat is a luxury women’s personal growth, yoga and adventure retreat. Their signature Belize trip is happening November 1-6 and you can get $200 off with the code ‘ANITA.’ (Disclosure: using this code will give me credit with the company.) They are also now booking for their new weekend retreat in Austin happening September 15-18.
Venice is Sinking
Yes, you read that right. They’ve measured a foot drop in the last century and predict six more feet in this century, by 2100. That year is a long time from now, but with the beauty of Italy and amazing eats, maybe you should bump this country higher on your travel list nevertheless!
Surf and Explore at Chicabrava
If you are a female and want to visit the beach, learn to surf and experience another country, check out Chicabrava. This girls-only surf camp in Nicaragua has been my radar for a while because one of my childhood dreams was to be a surfer and this camp sounds so much fun!

Best Dim Sum in Hong Kong
I’ve read that the most authentic and fresh dim sum can be found in a restaurant called Lin Heung in Hong Kong. This restaurant has been around for at least eight decades with the original chefs still at the helm.

What does Brexit mean for Travelers?
Last week, the UK voted to leave the European Union. What has resulted is great financial impact on the world economy. The British pound is now at the lowest value against the American dollar, so travel will seemingly cost less than usual but hotels and other travel companies will raise their rates to make up for it. In the long-term, travel may require visas, but that is still to be decided as the EU and UK figure out the terms of their separation. There are lots of great articles about Brexit and Afar has one for travelers.
If you could recommend one place to visit in the world, where would it be? What activities would you recommend?
