Wanderlust? Me too! My monthly Fearless Wanderlust posts will keep you informed about travel news and give you inspiration for your next trip.
Coronavirus and Travel
How does the coronavirus impact travel? The industry is losing billions of dollars. This could put small businesses out if they can’t survive the big drop in tourist numbers. Not only are people hesitant to book or go on their planned trips to Asia, Chinese tourists are not traveling. (Chinese travelers spent $277 billion on international travel in 2018.) I wonder if this will affect the Olympics in Tokyo this summer? Check out this article. If you already have travel plans, make sure you have travel insurance in case of a cancellation and keep track of what’s going on in your destination to know if and when to cancel your trip.
Moon Trees
In 1971, hundreds of tree seeds went to space. Did you know these seeds were planted and you can see these “moon trees” around the U.S.? Check out this map to see where they are and learn more about the story.
Real ID
Do you have a real ID? By October 1, 2020, every U.S. resident must have the correct drivers license to fly domestically. (You can also use a passport if you don’t have the license.) The Real ID has a gold or black star in a top corner. If you’ve renewed your license in the last five years, it probably already has it. If it doesn’t have it, you’ll need to renew your license.
Local Eating
What’s the most sustainable way to eat while you travel? Educate yourself and support local! This article gives some more details about what that means.
Vintage Trailers at a Winery
If you’re looking for a California vineyard for a group getaway, check out these trailers in Paso Robles. It’s something a little different and they look like fun!
Ethical Travel to Myanmar
Should we keep traveling to places where the government is hurting their own people? In the case of Myanmar, the government has been persecuting the Muslim Rohingya people since 2016. Because of this ethnic cleansing genocide, thousands of refugees have fled while hundreds of thousands still remain in Myanmar. Everything that has and is happening is atrocious. Would you still visit? This post by Kristin of Be My Travel Muse gives the argument of why you should.
Most Beautiful Place in Every U.S. State
Some states have more beautiful sights than others, but this list proves there’s at least one in every state. The place for Texas is one I’ve featured on the blog, but I would argue this National Park would be my vote for the most beautiful place in Texas.

These home rentals have ended up on the most wish lists on Airbnb and for good reason. They’re beautiful!

Some Really Cool Photos
Love landscape photography? This contest awarded the top photos from the last year. I loved seeing those pretty salt mountains and pink water from Bonaire, where we traveled last March. These are some incredible looking places!
Travel Mistakes
When it comes to travel, even if you’re a more spontaneous planner, there are a few things you need to check to avoid headaches! See this post from One Girl Wandering about 10 travel mistakes to avoid.

Do you follow my favorite travel vloggers Kara and Nate? They started traveling full-time in 2016 and reached their big goal of visiting 100 countries by 2020! This video shares their whole journey and what their 100th country was. They had their followers vote on where they would go!
Where are you traveling this year?
