I have plenty to be thankful for and the consciousness of my gratitude was very present this year. I’ve learned being grateful and reflective on the things you’re blessed with is an important part of a happy and fulfilled life. In the spirit of the most gratitude-focused holiday, I’d like to share what I’m thankful for today.
I’m thankful for my mom and dad who gave me countless opportunities, provided for me in abundance, encouraged me with their ambition and dreams and continue to do all of these things.
I’m thankful for the men and women who sacrifice their lives for us by serving our country through military and first responder roles. They miss out on the lives of their families and are put in harm’s way. Some struggle with sustaining injuries from their service.
I’m thankful for a sound mind, strong and healthy body, and inspired ambitions for they encourage me to strive towards a fulfilling life. They give me a fairly comfortable and stress-free life.
I’m using a computer and Internet to write and post this, I ate food today, I used running water and I live in a free country. For all of this, I’m thankful for my wealth and luck because I have more comforts and luxuries than the majority of the world.
I’m writing a blog post and for this I am thankful for all the teachers that taught me how to read, write, learn, and think.
I’m thankful for my sweet friends who live life with me, take part in all my crazy ideas, cheer me on, encourage adventurous living, and take time to show they care. I’ve learned a lot about friendship this year and am so thankful for the friends who stand by me through thick and thin.
Last but not least, I’m thankful for YOU for being a part of my community and my little Internet corner. Thank you for reading my blog, leaving comments and being a part of my life.
